SmithsonianKMF Metals is proud to announce the completion of the 20 foot diameter ring above the 175 foot rotunda in the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

The ring, which is an integral part of the glass skylight, is composed of 15 foot long segments, bolted together and composed of 8 inch square, 3/4 inch wall stainless steel tubing. KMF Metals polished this tubing from a mill finish to a #4 architectural finish.

KMF Metals. which specializes in the polishing of large beams, tubes and plates of any weight and size up to 10,000 pounds, was awarded the project because of its proprietary processes and machines, which quickly and efficiently produce quality results, saving money for the customer.
