To better serve their customers and markets, KMF metals has added an automated plate polishing machine to its equipment at its Oak Creek, WI facility.

“This machine has doubled our plate processing capacity, doing the combined work of both of our other custom built plate polishing machines,” said Greg Mendoza, Vice President of operations.

“We believe this gives us the ability to compete in a national market as opposed to our current regional footprint. Already we have the ability to polish any plate up to 8000lbs to any surface requirement, and up to a number 6 finish. Our largest plate to date was 30 feet long, 8 feet wide and a half inch thick. This new machine gives us the capability and capacity for doing the high production sizes up to 12 FT by 12 FT and up to 8000LBS”
